Yes. Be sure to ground or bond the hose clamp. Failure to ground may cause the hose clamp to become an isolated conductor, accumulating static electricity and leading to electrical discharge or ignition.
Note that hoses with an antistatic band on the hose exterior (TOYOTOP-E Hose, TOYOTOP-E 100°C Hose, and TOYOFOODS EARTH Hose) are designed with a structure that does not generate static electricity on the surface of the hose (to a degree that static electricity could accumulate on the clamp).
Both markings indicate compliance with RoHS2. Toyox began marking RoHS2-compliant hoses with “R2” beginning with products produced in 2017. However, we switched later on that same year to printing “RoHS2” in order to clarify the meaning.
Food Sanitation Act No. 196 (PL System) applies to synthetic plastic. This does not include silicon rubber. Toyox silicone hoses are compliant with Food Sanitation Act No. 595. Certificates of compliance are available for download by registered members (free).
We switched the outer material for TOYOFUSSO Hose from soft PVC to polyurethane beginning with products produced in November 2018. Products since then have a line (image line) printed on them. This improved heat resistance performance from 70°C to 80°C
To securely connect the parts, fasten the clamp in the middle of the peak of the barb, above the depression. Do not fasten it immediately below the hexagonal area of the nipple. We recommend using two clamps if the hose size is greater than 1″ (25mm).
It varies depending on the body material and size. Click here for reference information on working pressure ranges.
With that said, the working pressure of the hose needs to be taken into account when connecting the hose. Please also be aware that even if the pressure applied is within the working range of the hose, pressure may be released if depending on the clamps situation.
Due to the characteristics of the TOYOSILICONE Hose, it is a material with higher gas permeability (porous) than vinyl hoses. If high-temperature water exceeding 100 degrees is used, the steam of the high temperature water will permeate the inner pipe of the hose, which may easily damage the reinforcement thread and reduce the hose pressure resistance performance. The hose that can flow hot water up to 140 ° C is the TOYOSILICONE Steam Hose.
The difference between TOYORON Hose and SUPER TOYORON Hose is the difference in oil resistance of the hose outer skin, and SUPER TOYORON Hose is more oil resistant. HYPER TOYORON Hose is a hose that is more oil resistant to the inner tube and outer skin than TOYORON Hose and SUPER TOYORON Hose.
The W-SAFETY Nipple Set (WFSN) will be discontinued. The subsequent product will be TOYOCONNECTOR couplings (dedicated to TOYOX Hose) that can securely connect the hose.
It depends on the usage environment and usage conditions (fluid, temperature, pressure, size, hose type, etc.). Check for deformation, hardening, discoloration, leakage, etc. by pre-start inspection and regular inspection, and replace or maintain if necessary. There is also a method to set the scheduled replacement date based on the initial replacement period and the past replacement frequency.
The TOYOCONNECTOR FERRULE Type coupling is not designed for regular disassembly cleaning.
When reusing TOYOCONNECTOR, replace the dedicated replacement sleeve with a new one. Also, please make sure to use a brand-new hose.
While the TOYOCONNECTOR FERRULE Type varies depending on the usage conditions, consider five disassemblies a rough guideline for replacing with a new coupling.
If the cam arm of the KAMLOK COUPLER feels loose or the liquid oozes, it is an indication to replace the gasket. If the cam arm feels loose even after replacing the gasket, it is due to wear, so replace it with a new KAMLOK adapter.
TOYOCONNECTORS adjust the length of the hose on-site
Fittings can be attached by tightening a cap nut with a wrench. (Check the type of TOYOCONNECTOR and which hoses are compatible)
Hose assemblies are specified by hose size, length, couplings, and are assembled by the manufacturer. (Check compatible hose and fitting types)
Both are dedicated fittings for TOYOX hoses.
*Crimping product fittings are not for individual sale.
The maximum tightening torque in the band specification table is guaranteed by the manufacturer. Exceeding it may cause damage or the band tightening function to deteriorate. There is no proper torque value. There are many hose hardnesses, wall thicknesses and coupling types. Setting up is difficult as it depends on which part of the barb to be attached.
To solve such issues, we offer special couplings for tightening cap nuts called TOYOCONNECTOR that do not require torque management.
No service life is set for our hoses. Since many usage conditions such as fluid type, operating temperature, operating pressure, hose size and length are involved and the hoses are used in a wide variety of environments, it is not possible to set a specific service life.
Make arrangements based on the actual piping conditions at your company.
There are various types of hoses.
Hoses used in factories are roughly divided into hoses reinforced with thread and those reinforced with metal or resin coils.
If the currently used hose is reinforced with thread, the hose may bend or collapse.
It is possible to minimize bending and collapsing by using a hose reinforced with a metal or resin coil.
These reinforced hoses are resistant to bending and collapsing and can be used for vacuum applications.
In addition, there are hoses with a new structure that’s not reinforced with a metal or resin coil and is resistant against bending and collapsing.
If a normal PVC resin hose is used with food, hot water and cleaning agents at 60℃ or higher, the hose will harden, which may lead to problems such as leakage and disconnection of the hose coupling.
Depending on the pressure of food, hot water, etc., we offer hoses according to applications and usage conditions such as those that can be used up to 70℃ and 150℃.
Select a hose that meets the operating conditions.
The cutting method will differ depending on the thickness and type of the hose.
We demonstrate some of the various methods and tools in our video “How to Cut a Toyox Hose.”
Select a low-odor hose that meets the operating conditions.
The hoses are available in PVC, polyolefin resin, silicone rubber and fluorine resin, and can be selected according to the odor level, intended use and conditions.
Yes, depending on lead times and quantities, we do our best to provide custom lengths. Please note that prices may differ. Consult with your local dealer for details.
Smaller minimum bending radius doesn’t necessarily mean it is softer.
Although it is a measure of softness, it is not absolute. For example, the bend radius is TOYOSPRING < TOYORON, but in this case TOYORON feels softer. The softness varies depending on the thickness, material and reinforcement structure. Select an appropriate hose with reference to the deflection data and product samples.
We do not recommend doing so because that will lead to early degradation of the hose. After about a year of feeding sodium hydroxide, the hose will turn yellow and harden. After that, the hose will degrade further and become stiffer, and the inside of the hose will become brown. We therefore recommend using the ECORON or TOYOFUSSO Hose for more durability.
At room temperature, a concentration of up to 5% can be used. Even so, this will lead to premature aging as compared to water use. We therefore recommend using the ECORON or TOYOFUSSO instead.
Solutions of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) should generally not be run through the TOYOSILICONE Hose as it can cause degradation of the hose. For CIP (cleaning in place), however, a dilution of 2 to 3% may be used without problems. The TOYOSILICONE has even been used by a CIP equipment manufacturer. Even so, this will result in quicker degradation than using water or air.
This will not result in damage to the hose, though it may stick to the outside surface. We cannot, however, guarantee the TOYOSILICONE Hose for uses above 70℃.
No, the TOYOSILICONE is not designed for steam.
The TOYOSILICONE Hose can handle up to 130℃ and 0.2 MPa of pressure, but this should be limited to short periods of time for sterilization purposes, and continuous use should be avoided.
In addition, temperature and other conditions vary depending on product, so be sure to check the precautionary material for details.
TOYOCONNECTOR Series is couplings dedicated for TOYOX Hoses. The warranty covers the operating pressure range of a compatible hose.
However, there are temperature conditions depending on the type of TOYOCONNECTOR. Also, the material’s resistance varies depending on the fluid, so check the coupling details, chemical resistance data, etc.
The TOYOCONNECTOR Series can be reused except for the all-resin type (TC3-PC).
Be sure to replace the sleeve (or rubber cap depending on the product) when reusing.
Also, note that it is not designed to be frequently attached or detached as in the case of disassembly cleaning.
Dedicated couplings are not available. Instead, use the following couplings. For the HITRUN Hose, use of common cap nut type couplings may cause the hose to come off or the inner piping to be cut. Be sure to use the Easy Connecting Joint that uses a hose band to tighten the barb nipple.
Example: Nitto Kohki 30SH/PH, 40SH/PH
TOYOCONNECTOR Series is couplings dedicated for TOYOX Hoses. Connectability with other companies’ hoses is not guaranteed.
Refer to the detailed page of the corresponding TOYOCONNECTOR for compatible hoses.* Compatible hoses and sizes vary depending on the TOYOCONNECTOR part number.
For Toyox hoses, Toyox dedicated couplings are the best. If a genuine Toyox coupling is not provided , use a barb nipple available for purchase on the market. When selecting a barb nipple, ensure that it is appropriate for the size of the hose. It should not be used if it there is any damage or rust on the surface, and round the edges as much as possible before use.
All couplings are compatible with RoHS2 except HIT fitting (with rotation fitting female spring). Survey reports are available if necessary.
Necessary survey reports can be downloaded by registering as a member. Feel free to use them as needed.
These engravings are old type. The stamps are currently the same for those made of bronze.
The current product engravings and part numbers are as follows.
KAMLOK is a coupling composed of male (adapter) and female (coupler) that can be easily attached and detached by tightening or loosening the lever (arm).
KAMLOK is available in types that connect to hoses, devices, equipment and piping materials.
Also, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, bronze and polypropylene (PP) types are available to meet various applications, fluids and usage conditions.
Forcibly inserting it may cause streaks and deformation in the Teflon part, which may cause leakage.
To install the gasket, immerse it in hot water at 80℃ for 10-15 seconds (increasing flexibility) and firmly insert the gasket diagonally along the streaks (including the filler part).
When purchasing a new product, gasket replacement can also be provided, so consult with the supplier.

For each material, Dust Cap 634-B is available for couplers and Plug Cap 634-A for adapters.
However, they cannot be used in applications where pressure is applied or to prevent leakage. It is only for protection from dust and foreign matter.
The difference between KAMLOK 633-C and 633-CT is the difference in the outer diameter of the shank where the hose is inserted. 633-CT is narrower than the 633-C and is used to be inserted into hoses that do not easily expand, such as suction hoses in general.
If the size does not match, fluid leakage or coupling disconnection may occur. The same applies to 633-E and 633-ET.
Use 633-E or 633-C for our hoses.
The KAMLOK adapter 633-AB-1/2 has internal thread diameter of 1/2.
Only KAMLOK 1/2 and 3/4 have the same fitting size, and available screw standards are 1/2 and 3/4.
*Except products made of PP
There are methods such as warming the hose insertion part with warm water and applying soap water to the hose shank. Also, it is possible to change the 633-CT coupler and 633-ET adapter with a slightly narrower hose shank.
MIL standard lever type couplings and KAMLOK are compatible. However, the gasket specifications are different between companies. Our warranty only covers fittings and gaskets of the same manufacturer. Make sure that the size and material are the same.
All KAMLOK except for bronze models are compatible with RoHS2. Survey reports are available if necessary.
